In physics, the concept of action at a distance refers to the idea that “an object can be moved, changed, or otherwise affected without being physically touched by another object”.

I decided to title this website after the term – and more specifically, Albert Einstein’s famous repudiation of it – because I felt that it quite symbolically applies to humans, and the way that our communication of ideas via language so profoundly affects one another, at a distance.
